ROOF COMPLETED

The fascia, gutter, whirlybird ventilator and roof was completed this week - just as our SS promised. On our weekend visit, we were greeted with a beautiful sight - our Bristile Prestige flat profile roof tiles! It's hard to see from the pics, but the roof has a flat profile and really looks sleek and modern.

I wish we had a close up of it, but here is what the Bristile Prestige roof tiles look like on their website:

On next week's schedule, the scaffolding will be lowered so that the bricks can be cleaned, i'm guessing also so that the lower roof can be completed too. However, i am a little puzzled as to why they installed the whirlybird ventilator - i'm not complaining though! Our BASIX Certificate had the whirlybird deleted for some reason which at the time i did not question. I thought maybe the roof sarking was enough to comply. I went through the Construction Plans this morning and it isn't there. Anyhow, i think i will let it be as it can't hurt to have extra ventilation in the roof, right?!
