FIRST FLOOR FRAMES & WINDOWS INSTALLED

It's only been a few days since my last post and in just five days, our ground floor and first floor frames are up and windows have been installed. SS said in his weekly update call last Friday that next week's tasks will be internal plumbing, termite guard installation and also bricks will be delivered next week or the week after. Really happy with his communication so far! Hopefully the weather clears because our site is due for a cleanup, as per our SS. It has been extremely muddy onsite this week due to the heavy rains!

I must say it has been fantastic progress so far! I don't want to jinx it - haha! Despite the less than ideal weather this week, we've still had progress and any progress is a good thing! As you can see, the site is extremely muddy and I wish the weather would clear up too so I can take better pictures! Haha!

To celebrate this milestone (frame stage), we went furniture shopping this weekend! We spent many hours at King Living and Nick Scali only to end up at Custom Design Furniture showroom in Castle Hill! It was the last stop for the day and we certainly saved the best for last!

We ended up with a custom design couch. Eldric had a lot of input in the design and I was ecstatic that his vision for the perfect couch was in line with mine... I couldn't believe how difficult it was to find furniture that ticked all the boxes. We found ourselves nit-picking on the littlest details from couch legs, to arm rests to head rests and the list goes on! Bear in mind, we are working with a relatively small space so the dimensions had to be perfect. And the only way to get everything we wanted was to custom design it ourselves! Chris was the consultant and he was fabulous. He was accommodating and flexible in our design ideas and we are thrilled to have had the opportunity. We will be doing the media room and upstairs rumpus lounges with him too. As well as the square dining table.
