Ordered a custom design 2019 Build Diary from "Papier" (above) to record important
build dates and construction notes

On the 31st January 2019, we received the most anticipated email this year from Wisdom Homes - we were officially out of Admin stage and finally in Production Estimating stage. This stage is a major milestone, and we are glad to have made it, with a few cuts and bruises!!

The last week has been a busy week with Wisdom Homes paperwork. Pages and pages of signing, reading, double checking, then reading again and finally more signing! Yes - in that order! Don't get me wrong, it's actually an exciting stage because you are forced to re-visit your upgrades and selections that were finalised in May 2018! I'm glad i was still happy with my selections - even after 9 months!

Once you sign off on your Final End Panel and Construction Plans, you will receive a Tax Invoice for your gap payment. This is the remainder 5% deposit of your Final Contract Price plus Post Contract Variations (any upgrades or additional costs with the build). We paid a total of 10% deposit plus Post Contract Variations from our own funds - which was an amazing feeling despite having to let go of hard earned money! It was a day to reflect on how far we have come and how hard we have worked to get here. We felt extremely blessed that we were in a position to build this home we had envisioned for so long. Happy to make this deposit into Wisdom Homes' account as it meant we were onto the next stage...

Your file gets issued and moved along to the Production Estimating stage when you have satisfied and completed your contractual documentation and requirements as per the Building Agreement. So what does this stage entail? Read on..

Your file will remain in the Production Estimating Department for approximately 21 working days.  During this time you will see the below actions and steps:

- orders will start to be processed for your home
- within the first 10 working days, you will see the Site Fence, Toilet & other requirements delivered
- excavation works commencing 10-15 working days after that (weather permitting)
- within the 21 days and once all the orders have been processed, your file will be allocated to a Site Supervisor and released into Construction

It's also important to mention that Wisdom Homes (and many other builders) require that your land/site is neat and tidy prior to any site commencement works. This means that any waste, building materials, rubbish etc is cleared from your site. Wisdom Homes has asked us to send them a date and time stamped photograph of our land within 48 hours. We went to inspect the land to make sure the land is tidy from any debris. The grass needed to be cut and as short as possible! I downloaded an app on Google Play that has date and time stamp camera function then off we went on the weekend to take pics!
